Q: What defines a "Climate Change Idea"?
A: Any idea or plan which helps in mitigating climate change - this could be a technology, product or service or an idea/business plan/activity.

Q: Can you give some examples of Climate Change ideas?
A: Any idea that conserves energy and reduces carbon emissions in any form would qualify. Some examples include - Renewable energy business, Carbon trading business, Capacity building and awareness programs, Forestry/Planting trees campaign, Clean-ups and Waste disposal, Energy auditing and changing business processes, Rural electrification, Technology products such as smart switches, solar household products, innovation.

Q: What evaluation criteria will be used?
A: Individuals will be assessed based on their contribution to climate change mitigation through their personal involvement, achievement and leadership in the activity or idea they are applying with. Individuals will also be assessed on their potential to become the future leaders carrying the agenda of climate change mitigation and energy conservation forward in India. In specific we will also consider the following:

  • For "Creators" ideas will be judged according to the feasibility of the concept, as well as feasibility and scope of the venture's stated social and environmental purpose.
  • For "Implementers" individuals will be assessed based on their achievements in project management and execution of climate change related projects.
  • If you are an exceptional individual connected to a climate change initiative or know of someone who is, please apply.
Q: How many ideas will make it to the final round?
A: The final round will select the top 50 applicants and felicitate them at our Summit

Q: How many teams from one Institution, Company or Industry may enter?
A: There are no limits to the number of applicants from a particular Institution or Industry or Company

Q: Can applications be made for teams?
A: Only individual entries are accepted, however, you may highlight your team if you have one.
